Coca-Cola Theme Senior Session | KSP Model Team
I just love how things just work out the way they were meant to. That is what happened for this session.
I had this session planned with my Street Team (Model Team) for a few months. It was originally going to be taken at Merry Ann’s Diner. I went there and talked to the manager, got it all set up with the date and time, everything was set to go. About 2 weeks before our session date I read in our local newspaper, The Pantagraph, that Merry Ann’s Diner closed its doors and was out of business. It left me scrambling trying to figure out a new plan.
I ended up meeting with the lady that runs Ryburn Place, which is the old Sprague’s Super Service and she graciously agreed to allow us to do the session there. And that same day I met a man that agreed to let us use his awesome antique truck.
I left there that day soooo excited about this senior session. It was so much better than what was originally planned!
With me also being a Wedding Photographer, I have learned in my 6 years of being a wedding photographer that you have to learn to pivot. Things don’t always go as planned on wedding days and quite often its necessary to do things different as planned. It could be poor lighting, rain, etc. so I’ve learned to pivot. Those skills definitely came in handy for this Coke Session with my high school seniors.
I got home and started reflecting on my day and started thinking… You know, we all have things in our lives that don’t go as planned. It could be a job we didn’t get, or a job we lost, it could be that we didn’t get accepted into the college we wanted, or a relationship that didn’t work out like we had hoped. But remember that sometimes we have to let go of things in order to have open arms to receive something much better. Trust that!
I am so thankful this turned out the way it did. This Coca-Cola Themed Session was Awesome!
